Smashed Taters

Smashed Taters

Emily Grimaud
These are my new favourite ways to cook and eat potatoes.

They are SMASHED TATERS ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿฅ”

Potatoes are actually exported from Malta which is something I didn't actually know and found unsurprising because our potatoes are delicious. In fact, I don't think I've ever intentionally bought foreign potatoes to work with at home/work! That's how much I love Maltese Potatoes ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡น

I'll be uploading a reel on how to make these ๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’œ

Recipe

10 potatoes - I calculate 150g per person which is around 3 small potatoes each.
Olive oil
Garlic powder
Seasalt
Crushed black pepper

1. Halve your potatoes. Start off by boiling your potatoes, from cold. Boil until they are soft enough to stick a fork through but not cooked through ~ 10 mins
2. Line a tray with foil and place your potatoes and mix in oil, salt and pepper and garlic powder. Mix then all in together .
3. Use a flat bottomed glass to press down each potato GENTLY.
4. Bake at 200c for 15 minutes, then flip over and add another 15 minutes and then put your temp up at 240c to get that final SIZZLE and crispiness!

Serve alongside anything! ๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿฅ”
